Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior System Administrator (Open-Source & Infrastructure). We are looking for someone to take full ownership of our server and infrastructure environment. This role is highly technical and focused on end-to-end server management, with a strong emphasis on open-source technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Full administration, maintenance, and optimization of company servers and infrastructure

Configuration and management of networking equipment (Cisco, HP ProCurve, and similar)

Advanced Linux systems administration, primarily Ubuntu and RedHat-based systems

Basic administration of HP-UX, Solaris, BSD, and Windows systems

Management and configuration of mail systems (Postfix, Sendmail, Exim, Dovecot)

Management and configuration of web servers (Apache, NGINX)

Administration of database servers:

Advanced: PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB

Basic: MSSQL, Oracle

Setup and maintenance of firewalls, network filters, antivirus gateways

Management of centralized authentication systems (LDAP, Kerberos, NIS)

Ensuring network and system security, monitoring, and incident response

Writing and maintaining BASH scripts for automation and system tasks

Managing virtualization environments (Proxmox, KVM, VMware, QEMU)

Supporting high availability, clustering, and performance-oriented systems

Working with and maintaining Omada networking infrastructure

Documentation of systems, processes, and configurations

Required Profile

Senior-level System Administrator with proven experience managing servers independently

Strong background in Linux and open-source ecosystems

Comfortable owning infrastructure end-to-end without close supervision

Solid troubleshooting, security, and performance optimization skills

Ability to design, maintain, and scale systems reliably

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys full responsibility over infrastructure, values open-source solutions, and can operate at a senior, decision-making level.
