Role Description

We are seeking a senior WordPress developer with real-world experience building, scaling, and optimizing high-performance WordPress websites. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of WordPress internals, including the request lifecycle, hooks, CRON, and performance optimization techniques for platforms serving millions of users.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain high-performance WordPress themes and plugins.

• Understand and apply WordPress’s full request lifecycle, from wp-load.php to the final response.

• Write clean, modular, and secure code using WordPress best practices.

• Optimize sites using advanced performance strategies (caching layers, DB query tuning, asset loading).

• Configure and monitor CRON jobs, background tasks, and automated jobs reliably.

• Collaborate with design and QA teams to ensure UX, SEO, and speed standards are met.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of WordPress development experience.

• Deep understanding of hooks (do_action, add_filter) and plugin architecture.

• Advanced experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

• Solid background in performance profiling, query optimization, and server-side tuning.

• Experience with Git, WP-CLI, and automated deployment pipelines.
