Team leader Design Architect (exterior)
Scope of the Role
Lead and manage a team of architects and designers in the development of innovative and sustainable architectural designs, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Team Leader will play a key role in guiding and mentoring junior architects while collaborating with clients and stakeholders to achieve the vision for each project.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Lead the design team through all stages of architectural projects, from concept development to final execution.
- Ensure designs are innovative, functional, and align with client expectations, project requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Assign tasks to team members, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects, promoting their professional development.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and translate them into design solutions.
- Review and approve design work and technical drawings produced by the team, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Conduct regular design reviews and meetings with clients and stakeholders to present ideas and progress updates.
- Stay current on industry trends, architectural innovations, and new materials to incorporate into projects.
- Handle conflict resolution and problem-solving within the team and with external stakeholders.

Professional Qualification & Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in architectural design, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or team management role.
· Expertise in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
· Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
· Experience managing project teams and guiding the work of junior architects.
· Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Proven track record of successful project delivery, from design to execution.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality
