We are expanding our in-house digital team and looking for a highly experienced WordPress professional to take on a hands-on leadership role. You will lead a small team of 2 developers while actively working on advanced WordPress development projects yourself. Important: This is an in-person, full-time position based in Heliopolis, Cairo. Remote/online work is not possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain advanced WordPress features, custom plugins, and integrations.
• Develop interactive user flows such as custom checkout pages, booking systems, and dashboards.
• Implement and maintain connections with external APIs (e.g., payment gateways, identity verification, and notarization providers).
• Handle database design and logic for storing and updating user and transaction data.
• Ensure responsive, fast, and user-friendly interfaces aligned with design files (Figma).
• Maintain website security, backups, and data protection practices.
• Collaborate with designers, content teams, and management to launch new site sections or services.
• Troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and ensure high reliability and uptime.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with WordPress (custom plugins and themes).
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, JavaScript (React or Vue preferred), HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party API integrations.
• Familiar with payment systems (Stripe, PayPal, crypto, etc.) and custom checkout flows.
• Experience handling database logic (MySQL) and form-based data collection.
• Ability to translate Figma designs precisely into functional pages.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and data handling.
• Experience with email automation and notifications (transactional emails).
• Bonus: familiarity with real-time updates (Pusher, WebSockets, or similar).
