Job Summary
We are seeking a results-oriented Sourcing & Contracting Buyer to manage the procurement of raw materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with our commodity suppliers to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain. This role is critical to our operations and requires a strategic approach to procurement.
Key Responsibilities
•Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for essential raw materials and commodities, analyzing market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
•Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while managing and strengthening relationships with our existing supplier base. Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure quality and delivery standards are met.
•Contracting and Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of purchasing agreements and contracts. Secure favorable terms related to pricing, quality, delivery, and payment.
•Procurement Operations: Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from creating purchase orders to coordinating logistics and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Finance, to align procurement activities with production schedules and inventory targets.
Qualifications and Skills
•Experience: Proven experience in a procurement role, such as a Buyer, Sourcing Specialist, or Contract Manager, with a demonstrated focus on raw materials or commodities.
•Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve optimal terms and pricing.
•Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed purchasing decisions.
•Relationship Management: A strong aptitude for building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with suppliers.
•Education: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
