Scope:
The Director of Facility at Abu Soma Development Company is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficient operations of all company-owned properties and infrastructure. This role ensures that facilities meet regulatory standards, optimize resources, and enhance the overall guest experience. The Director of Facility collaborates with various departments to implement best practices in facility management, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations of all company facilities, including buildings, landscapes, and utilities.
· Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure asset longevity.
· Manage facility inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
· Develop and enforce safety policies and emergency preparedness plans.
· Ensure compliance with fire, health, and environmental regulations.
· Collaborate with security teams to maintain a safe environment.
· Implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
· Monitor and optimize utility consumption to reduce costs and environmental impact.
· Oversee waste management and eco-friendly practices.
· Develop and manage the facility management budget.
· Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Ensure contracts with vendors and service providers align with financial and quality standards.
· Oversee relationships with service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
· Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
· Monitor vendor performance and ensure service quality.
· Ensure facilities provide a high-quality experience for guests and employees.
· Address facility-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
· Implement improvements based on guest feedback and industry trends.
· Lead facility expansion, renovation, and improvement projects.
· Collaborate with engineers and architects on construction and design initiatives.
· Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Job Requirements
Specifications:
Education & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
3. Certifications in facility management, sustainability, or safety compliance are an advantage.
Experience:
1. Minimum 12-15 years of facility management experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
2. Strong expertise in operations, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives.
