Job Description
- Conduct thorough inspections of painting and coating applications on industrial equipment and piping systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Verify surface preparation, environmental conditions, and application techniques prior to and during painting processes.
- Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of all painting and coating activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations during painting operations.
- Perform adhesion, thickness, and holiday testing to validate coating integrity and performance.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality assurance plans related to painting and coating.
- Participate in quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality assurance team.
- Ensure that all materials and coatings used meet approved standards and certifications.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and painting personnel on best practices and quality requirements.

- 2 to 5 years of experience in painting inspection or quality assurance within an industrial or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of painting and coating standards such as SSPC, NACE, or ISO.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques including DFT gauges, adhesion testers, and holiday detectors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality control documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and reporting abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to environmental regulations.
- Experience with documentation and record-keeping for quality assurance purposes.
- Flexibility to work onsite at industrial facilities as required.
