This full-time, on-site role as a Precast Structural Design Engineer is based in Oman. The primary responsibilities include designing structural systems for precast concrete projects, preparing detailed engineering drawings and calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and adhering to technical and regulatory standards. The role requires close interaction with the manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and customer expectations. Additionally, the Precast Structural Design Engineer will support project execution and provide technical expertise during all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in structural design principles, finite element analysis, and concrete structures
- Experience with CAD software and structural design tools such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or Tekla
- Strong understanding of precast systems, including manufacturing and installation processes
- Detailing and drafting skills, as well as the ability to create comprehensive engineering documents
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferable)
- Knowledge of international design codes and standards; familiarity with regional regulations in Oman is a plus
- Previous experience in precast structural design and value engineering is highly desirable
