About the Role
GMG is looking for a Store Manager to join our Sports Division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving store performance through effective sales leadership, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service. You will lead and develop the store team, ensuring adherence to GMG standards while maximizing profitability and delivering an outstanding in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store sales by communicating targets and motivating the team to achieve financial objectives.
- Maintain loss prevention standards and ensure compliance with cash handling, fraud control, and inventory protection.
- Oversee all POS activities, including sales transactions, customer orders, returns, refunds, and inventory updates.
- Manage cash operations such as petty cash, POS cash elements, and change floats.
- Conduct regular store administration audits and support annual stock counts and spot checks.
- Address customer complaints professionally and implement corrective actions aligned with company policies.
- Monitor brand performance, analyze market trends, and propose action plans to enhance sales and profitability.
- Review sales reports to optimize stock potential and evaluate new and core collections.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock availability, order processing, back-store organization, and stock movement.
- Ensure accurate stock control, including stock ageing, stock loss management, and space utilization.
- Coordinate with the facilities team on store maintenance, repairs, and asset optimization.
- Lead, coach, and develop the store team to achieve KPIs and foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant retail experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or store management role.
- Strong industry and product/category knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Office and retail operational tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make strategic decisions.
- Fluent in English; Hindi and/or Arabic is an added advantage.
