The Marketing Lead (Comms, PR & Media) will drive Johnson Controls’ brand visibility and reputation in Egypt by executing integrated communications initiatives across media relations, press releases, corporate storytelling, event communications, CSR communications, and owned channels (website and social media). The role partners closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Service, Operations, HR, Procurement, and Leadership) and external partners (media, agencies, and suppliers) to deliver consistent, high-quality communications that support business priorities and strengthen market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Corporate Communications & Messaging
• Develop and adapt core communication messages for Egypt in alignment with regional/global brand direction.
• Create communication toolkits (key messages, Q&A, talking points, briefs) for leadership and stakeholder use.
• Ensure message consistency and brand compliance across all materials and channels.
2) PR, Media Relations & Press Office
• Lead end-to-end press release development: drafting, alignment, approvals, distribution, and post-release tracking.
• Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists relevant to business, industry, and corporate topics.
• Coordinate media requests, interviews, and statements; support leadership positioning and thought leadership opportunities.
• Track media coverage and sentiment; prepare monthly PR performance summaries.
3) Content Strategy & Editorial Planning (Owned Channels)
• Own the editorial calendar for corporate content across website and social media (primarily corporate/brand content).
• Translate business priorities into clear stories: projects, partnerships, milestones, innovations, people stories, and CSR.
• Coordinate content production with designers/agencies (copywriting, visuals, short videos) and ensure timely publishing.
4) Events & Brand Activations (Communications Layer)
• Provide communications support for exhibitions, seminars, and corporate events:
• Event messaging, invitations/announcements, brand visibility materials, and post-event coverage.
• Coordinate with event agencies and internal teams to ensure brand alignment across event touchpoints.
5) CSR Communications & Employer/Community Storytelling
• Partner with HR and CSR stakeholders to communicate community initiatives professionally and consistently.
• Ensure CSR activities are covered on website and social media with appropriate storytelling and approvals.
• Capture outcomes (quotes, photos, impact metrics) and package them into internal/external comms materials.
6) Agency & Vendor Management (with Procurement Coordination)
• Manage communications/PR/digital agencies and suppliers to deliver briefs, outputs, and timelines.
• Support Procurement in agency onboarding, scope finalization, quotations, and tender documentation where required.
• Ensure quality control of deliverables and adherence to brand standards.
7) Stakeholder Management & Governance
• Coordinate approvals and alignment across internal stakeholders and regional stakeholders when needed.
• Maintain an organized repository of brand assets, templates, press materials, and content archives.
• Contribute to crisis communications readiness by maintaining draft holding statements and escalation pathways (if applicable).
Key Deliverables:
• Press releases, media kits, leadership messaging toolkits
• Monthly PR/media report (coverage, sentiment, reach, learnings)
• Corporate content calendar (website + social channels)
• Event communication packages (pre/during/post)
• CSR storytelling packs (recap articles, posts, visuals, impact summary)
• Vendor/agency briefs, scopes, and output quality reviews
• Brand-compliant templates and communication guidelines (local use)
Success Metrics (KPIs):
• PR impact: volume/quality of coverage, relevance of outlets, message pull-through, sentiment
• Execution excellence: on-time delivery against key milestones; approval-cycle efficiency
• Content performance: engagement rates, reach, website traffic to corporate pages (as applicable)
• Stakeholder satisfaction: internal stakeholder feedback on responsiveness and quality
• Brand governance: compliance with brand guidelines and reduction of rework/iterations
• Agency performance: SLA adherence, quality of deliverables, cost-effectiveness
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in corporate communications, PR, media relations, or brand communications.
• Proven experience writing/editing:
• Press releases, corporate announcements, leadership messages, and social content.
• Hands-on experience coordinating agencies and vendors; comfortable working with Procurement processes.
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence without authority (IC role).
Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent writing and storytelling (Arabic and English strongly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and editorial judgment
• High ownership and accountability; ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
• Strong organization and project management (timelines, dependencies, approvals)
• Professional maturity to handle sensitive communication topics and leadership messaging
• Vendor and agency briefing skills with quality control mindset
Working Conditions:
• Primarily office-based with occasional site visits and event support as required.
• Flexibility for time-sensitive communications during major announcements or events.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
• Experience in B2B communications, technology/industrial, facilities, construction, or engineering-related sectors
• Familiarity with corporate brand governance and regional/global approval workflows
• Basic understanding of social media/community management and website CMS workflows
