Job Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures across all operational sites.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations relevant to diagnostic and laboratory environments.
- Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement preventive measures to minimize future risks.
- Organize and deliver health and safety training sessions for employees at all levels, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads and facility managers to address specific safety concerns and implement best practices.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and auditors during inspections and ensure timely resolution of any compliance issues.
- Stay updated on emerging health and safety trends, technologies, and regulations to continuously enhance safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years and up to 6 years of experience in a health and safety supervisory or officer role, preferably in healthcare or laboratory settings.
- Thorough knowledge of Egyptian health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively train and engage staff.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Ability to work on-site and respond promptly to safety incidents or emergencies.
- Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or related areas is a plus.
