This role combines project-based migration work with operational responsibilities, including patching, security vulnerability remediation, and system hardening. |
- Administer and optimize Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
- Implement, manage, and monitor Windows patching processes for servers and VDI environments, ensuring timely deployment of security and critical updates.
- Identify, assess, and remediate operating system and infrastructure vulnerabilities based on security advisories, vulnerability scans, and best practices.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory services, including users, groups, computers, GPOs, delegation, and directory structure design.
- Manage Active Directory health, replication, DNS integration, and access control to ensure a secure and reliable identity platform.
- Plan and perform VDI migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11, including validation, optimization, and user readiness.
- Execute and administer Windows Server upgrades from 2016 to 2022, including ongoing operational support.
- Perform Microsoft SQL Server upgrades to SQL Server 2025, including installation, configuration, administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Design, implement, and maintain Exchange Edge and implement high availability and business continuity.
- Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related incidents.
- Collaborate with security, application, and operations teams to align upgrades and patching activities with business requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, patching schedules, and architecture diagrams.
