Job Title:Internal Medicine Specialist (Internist) Location:Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Department:Internal Medicine Reports To:Head of Internal Medicine Department / Medical Director Job Summary:The Internal Medicine Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to adult patients, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses. The role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and Saudi healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities:Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with complex medical conditions Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory disorders Perform detailed clinical assessments including history-taking and physical examinations Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests (lab, imaging, etc.) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide inpatient and outpatient care as required Coordinate with other specialists for multidisciplinary patient management Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits Supervise junior doctors and medical staff when applicable Qualifications & Requirements:Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) Completion of residency in Internal Medicine Board certification (e.g., Arab Board, MRCP, American Board, or equivalent) Valid license or eligibility for licensing by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Minimum 2–5 years of post-specialization experience (varies by hospital tier) Strong clinical and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a multicultural environment
