Tallah is hiring for #Commercial Specialist
About the role:
The Commercial Specialist – Dark Store is responsible for driving sales performance
and commercial execution across quick-commerce platforms (e.g., Instashop, Talabat,
and other partners).
This role manages the dark store as a high-performing sales and
fulfillment node by ensuring optimal assortment availability, competitive pricing and
promotions, strong in-app visibility, and smooth operational alignment (stock, picking
accuracy, order prep time, cancellations, and returns.
JD:
• Own daily/weekly sales performance across Q-commerce partners (Insta Shop,
Talabat, etc.) and deliver revenue targets
• Track performance by platform, category, brand, and SKU; identify growth
opportunities and take corrective actions
• Support commercial planning: promo calendar, bundles/kits, upsell/cross-sell
offers, and launch activation
• Monitor profitability drivers (margin, discount depth, platform fees, returns impact)
and recommend improvements
• Manage product presence on partner portals: listings, pricing, images,
descriptions, attributes, barcodes/SKUs, and compliance
• Ensure strong merchandising execution: best-sellers, new arrivals, routines/kits,
seasonal bundles, and priority placements
• Maintain channel price consistency and ensure promotional setups are accurate
and live on time
• Optimize assortment performance by maintaining a healthy mix of top sellers and
strategic growth items
• Coordinate with dark store operations to ensure stock readiness and availability
for partner platforms
•Drive improvements in order execution KPIs.
• Ensure proper storage and packing standards for cosmetics
• Plan and execute promotions across platforms: discounts, vouchers, bundles,
and limited-time offers
• Coordinate campaign assets and messaging with marketing
• Build and maintain performance trackers/dashboards (Excel/Google Sheets) for
sales, margin, availability, and execution KPIs
• Provide weekly insights reports on performance, issues, root causes, and action
plans
• Run audits to ensure data quality (SKU mapping, barcode accuracy, pricing
errors, suppressed listings)
• Propose and implement process improvements to reduce errors, OOS, and
Cancellations.
Requirements:
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial, category, sales ops, e-commerce,
marketplaces, or Q-commerce roles
• Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets (pivots, lookups, reporting)
• Familiarity with partner portals (Insta Shop, Talabat, or similar platforms) is a
strong plus
• Experience in beauty/cosmetics or FMCG is preferred (variants, barcodes, expiry
handling, claims awareness)
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams (ops,
marketing, inventory, CS)
