Roles & Responsibilities
1. Material Inspection and Verification
The QC Engineer will be responsible for receiving all delivered materials at the factory and thoroughly inspecting them for compliance with project specifications, approved samples, and the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
Only materials that meet technical and contractual standards will be accepted; non-compliant materials will be rejected with formal documentation issued.
2. Subcontractor Technical Evaluation
The QC Engineer will conduct technical evaluations of subcontractors executing factory works to ensure they meet the required standards of workmanship.
This includes monitoring adherence to method statements, material usage protocols, and workmanship quality benchmarks.
3. Support to Material Management
The QC Engineer will work in coordination with the Head of Commercial and the Project Manager to flag any discrepancies between delivered materials and purchase orders.
This will help reduce errors, prevent rework, and optimize material utilization within the factory.
4. Preventive Quality Assurance
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): The QC Engineer will investigate recurring or systemic quality issues to identify their root causes and propose permanent corrective measures.
Lessons Learned Documentation: Issues and resolutions will be formally documented and fed into continuous improvement cycles to avoid recurrence and enhance overall quality performance.
5. Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible
