BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Commodity tracking is a core function in the corridor to ensure food and non-food items are efficiently monitored and managed from origin to final distribution point. This position supports operational excellence by ensuring visibility, traceability, and accountability of all commodity transactions and movements across WFP corridors, ports, crossing borders and Warehouses.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring Corridors Stock
• Monitor in-transit and incoming stocks across all operational corridors.
• Track and update Best Before Dates (BBD) in LESS; liaise with warehouse teams for quality assurance.
• Prepare and disseminate daily stock reports summarizing movement status and corridor performance.
Data Mapping and Visualization
• Map and consolidate commodity tracking data for senior management decision-making.
• Use DOTS, LESS, and Excel to create dashboards, pivot tables, and visual performance indicators.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests and provide real-time tracking analytics.
• Generate and distribute a weekly dashboard to monitor stock movements and key performance metrics.
Coordination and Reporting
• Collaborate with relevant units including Budget and Programming (BPU), Procurement, and Donor Relations to ensure coordinated updates.
• Provide regular Purchase Order (PO) tracking reports and stock status updates.
• Prepare and submit the BHA weekly report and other donor-specific reporting requirements.
• Draft Notes for the Record (NFRs) in coordination with corridor focal points and WFP HQ logistics teams.
Physical Inventory Control (PIC)
• Coordinate periodic physical inventory counts and support quality control checks at warehouses.
• Reconcile physical inventory results with warehouse records and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure validated entries are updated in LESS and reported accurately to management.
Systems and Capacity Support
• Act as focal point for LESS operations and data integrity for commodity tracking.
• Train cooperating partners, warehouse staff, and internal stakeholders on SOPs, tracking tools, and data entry protocols.
• Support data quality control initiatives and troubleshoot system or reporting issues.
Skills
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience Knowledge & Skills:
• 1-2 years of post-graduate experience in supply chain operations, preferably in humanitarian contexts and emergency set-up Proficiency in LESS, DOTS, and Excel (including dashboards and pivot tables).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to work under pressure

• Fluent in English
• Arabic is desirable
