Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Engineer to join our team specializing in industrial inkjet printing solutions. This role bridges the gap between technical expertise and customer engagement, providing tailored printing solutions to manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and product marking industries.
You will be responsible for identifying client needs, recommending appropriate inkjet printing technologies, supporting the sales process with technical know-how, and ensuring successful product integration and after-sales satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in manufacturing, packaging, and logistics sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and OEMs.
- Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Technical Expertise:
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable inkjet printing systems, inks, and configurations.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including system integration and training.
- Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to customize solutions when necessary.
- Project Management:
- Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing and commissioning.
- Ensure proper installation, calibration, and performance testing of printing systems at client sites.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to inform product development.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
Skills

- Technical Aptitude:
- Strong understanding of industrial inkjet printing technologies (CIJ, TIJ, DOD, UV, etc.), fluid dynamics, and system integration.
- Sales Acumen:
- Proven ability to identify customer needs, propose tailored solutions, and close complex technical sales.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with industrial applications such as packaging, labeling, product coding, and marking standards (e.g., GS1, FDA, ISO).
- Communication Skills:
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence purchasing decisions.
- Presentation & Demonstration Skills:
- Comfortable leading product demos, on-site visits, and trade show presentations.
- Problem Solving:
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose system performance issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Project Management:
- Ability to manage multiple sales projects, including timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration.
- CRM & Reporting:
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track sales activity, manage pipelines, and report performance.
- Adaptability:
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with frequent travel and changing priorities.
