A BIM modeler uses building information modeling software to create a three-dimensional visual plan for a project. used to aid decision-making during the building process. BIM modelers work closely with architects and structural engineers. The BIM modeler must be able to understand not only how a building fits together but how a building can be modelled accurately in a BIM environment expert having a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role provides a base level to progress to multiple career paths. Responsibilities
Use BIM software to create 3-D plans for projects.Structural Modeler experience is a must.Collaborate with architects and engineers on projects. Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform. Use the proper elements and scale for projects. Perform architect’s layout and input of marked‐up drawings into BIM software in accordance with Standards. Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties. Work under the direction of design professionals and team leaders. High attention to detail and accuracy, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
