Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Maritime Operations Officer, located in Cairo, Egypt. We are seeking driven and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Operations Trainees. This role offers practical, hands-on training in dry bulk vessel operations, where you will play a vital role in supporting a high-performing team. It’s a unique opportunity to kick start your career in the shipping industry and gain valuable experience from seasoned professionals in a dynamic and international environment.

Qualifications

Graduated of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Logistics Department.

Preferably a Business Administration graduate from one of the following universities: AUC, BUE, or GUC.

• A strong interest in shipping, logistics, or maritime operations
• A relevant educational background (maritime studies, logistics, engineering, business, etc.)
• Internship or sailing experience is a plus, but not required
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Proactive mindset, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn
• Strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and attention to detail
• Team player who also takes ownership and works independently
• Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems
• Appreciation of multicultural work environments and collaboration
• A sense of urgency and keep deadlines without compromising quality
• A self-starter who proactively contributes with ideas and solutions
• Appreciation of working in a multicultural environment
