Job Description
- Oversee daily piping erection, fabrication, and installation works.
- Ensure activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other disciplines to resolve interface issues.
- Communicate and align with subcontractors, QA/QC, and client representatives.
- Provide technical solutions to site-related issues such as clashes, deviations, and fit-up problems.
- Support troubleshooting during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
- Review and prepare red-line drawings for all piping modifications and routing changes at site.
- Assist in hydrotesting, flushing, and pressure testing activities.
- Monitor and verify NDT and welding activities, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Track work progress against schedule and report any delays or productivity issues.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Review P&IDs, isometrics, support details, GA drawings, and piping material specifications.
- Interpret and clarify drawings to site execution teams.
- Material Take-Off (MTO) & BOQ:
- Prepare or review piping MTOs and verify material availability.
- Liaise with procurement to track material deliveries and shortages.
- Preparation of Method Statements & Work Procedures:
- Draft construction method statements, erection procedures, and risk assessments.
- Submit RFIs, TQNs, site queries, and coordinate approvals from consultants or clients.
- Maintain records of technical documentation, site memos, and correspondence.
- Support in Pre-commissioning Activities:
- Provide input for flushing, air blowing, chemical cleaning, and reinstatement plans.
- Experience with SmartPlant, AutoCAD, or Navisworks for design verification.
- Familiarity with project planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HSE compliance, especially in site environments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. (Cairo, Ain Shams, Alexandria, Helwan, Matareyya, Assuit university) are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Piping works, particularly in industrial project (Electric power generation industry is preferred).
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage site teams effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- M/S office tools, 2D CAD, SolidWorks (is plus) software
- Very good to excellent command of English (written and spoken).
