Software WordPress Developer

Location: Hybrid – Nasr City.

Type: Full-time.

Salary: 20K-25K

We’re WebOps — an AI-powered website builder that helps creators and SMBs launch

beautiful, highly customizable websites fast.

We’re hiring a Software WordPress Developer to help us scale our AI Builder platform — the

engine that generates thousands of WordPress-based websites every month. This role

combines strong technical WordPress expertise with problem-solving and innovation: you’ll

maintain, optimize, and build new features that make WebOps smarter, faster, and more powerful.

Our headquarters and daily operations are based in Egypt (Hybrid — Cairo preferred). This

position is fully managed and executed from Egypt.

What You’ll Do:

1- Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress themes, plugins, and core features powering the WebOps AI Builder.

2- Implement and customize REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations between our AI systems and WordPress.

3- Extend and optimize site generation scripts, improving build time, performance, and reliability.

4- Debug and fix platform issues related to permissions, user access, or builder compatibility.

5- Collaborate with the AI and product teams to deliver smooth automation and scalable WordPress deployments.

6- Enhance mobile responsiveness, multilingual support, and template flexibility.

7- Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code with version control (Git).

8- Participate in code reviews, QA testing, and continuous deployment cycles.

9- Proactively suggest improvements in security, speed, and UX across the ecosystem.

Success Metrics:

· Platform uptime and site build success rate.

· Speed and performance of generated websites.

· Reduction in bugs or customer-reported WordPress issues.

· Code quality and documentation standards.

· Contribution to new feature development and release velocity.

Must-Have:

· 2-4 years of experience in WordPress development (themes, plugins, APIs).

· Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, MySQL.

· Experience with WordPress hooks, filters, CPTs, ACF, and security best practices.

· Comfortable working with REST APIs, AJAX, and JSON data structures.

· Familiarity with Git, SSH, cPanel, and cloud hosting environments

· Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

· Fluent in English & Arabic (spoken and written).

· Self-driven, organized, and eager to solve complex technical problems.

Nice-to-Have:

· Experience with React.js or Vue.js (for AI Builder UI integrations).

· Knowledge of automation scripts, AI integrations, or no-code builders.

· Previous experience working in a SaaS or startup environment.

· Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, Docker, or CI/CD workflows.
