About the Role:

We are looking for a diligent and hands-on Site Accountant to join our manufacturing team. As the primary finance professional on-site, you will be responsible for all accounting activities at our manufacturing facility. You will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring the financial integrity of site operations. Your work will directly contribute to the site's profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Control:
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the site
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory, fixed assets, and accruals
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Lead the site's month-end and year-end closing processes
• Cost Accounting & Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and overheads
• Calculate product costs and maintain standard costing system
• Investigate and explain variances against budget and forecast
• Support inventory management through cycle counts and stock takes
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts for the site
• Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis
• Work with department heads to understand and control costs
• Operational Support:
• Provide financial analysis to support capital investment decisions
• Analyze operational performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Support production team with cost control and efficiency monitoring

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and fixed asset management

Soft Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Good communication skills for interacting with non-finance staff
