Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the formulation and development of new plastic compounds and masterbatch products aligned with market trends and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to enhance product performance, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability.
- Manage pilot trials and oversee the scale-up process from laboratory to full-scale production.
- Provide expert guidance on polymer selection, additive compatibility, and processing technologies to support product innovation.
- Partner with QA/QC teams to monitor product quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including technical datasheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and regulatory certifications.
- Support the sales team with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer trials.
- Lead and manage product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives between R&D, production, sales, and quality assurance departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years in plastic compounding, masterbatch development, or related fields.
- Relevant professional certifications in polymer science or materials engineering (preferred).
- Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with lab and production equipment used in polymer processing is a plus.
