Job Summary:

The Finishing Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and executing all interior and exterior finishing works of the project. This role is crucial for ensuring that all finishes meet the approved drawings, specifications, technical standards, required quality, and are completed within the project schedule and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

n-Site Supervision and Execution:

• Full and direct supervision of all finishing trades on-site, including (but not limited to): plastering, painting, flooring (tiles, marble, parquet), false ceilings, insulation, doors/windows, and façades.
• Ensure all execution is strictly compliant with approved engineering drawings (Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical related to finishes) and project specifications.
• Manage and direct subcontractors and direct labor, assigning tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to finishing works on-site in a timely manner, in coordination with the consultant or project manager.

2. Quality Control and Materials:

• Review, inspect, and approve finishing material samples delivered to the site, ensuring they match the specified quality and standards before installation.
• Implement strict Quality Control (QC) procedures for all finishing stages and ensure proper handover/acceptance of works from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare inspection requests, detailed progress reports, and technical documentation.

3. Planning and Monitoring:

• Develop and review detailed work schedules for finishing activities and set priorities to achieve required completion rates.
• Quantify, request, and track the delivery of finishing materials in a timely manner to prevent any delays in the work progress.
• Review subcontractors' payment requests (invoices/claims) and accurately verify the quantities executed on site.

4. Coordination and Safety:

• Effectively coordinate with engineers from other disciplines (MEP) to ensure seamless integration of services and avoid conflicts before, during, and after the installation of finishes.
• Ensure that all safety and occupational health standards are rigorously applied in all finishing work areas.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in finishing work execution exclusively.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of all modern finishing materials, execution techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Software Proficiency:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading and reviewing detailed drawings.
• Working knowledge of MS Project or Primavera for time scheduling and progress tracking.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) for quantity surveying, reporting, and documentation.
