Job Summary
We are seeking a retail manager with at least 7-10 years of retail experience in Egypt to lead the operations and sales of 3+ retail stores.
The ideal candidate will have strong
analytical skills, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of retail sales dynamics.
They will oversee store performance, optimize stock distribution, train and support store managers, and play a key role in retail expansion.
The role requires regular travel outside of Cairo, including:
- Twice a month travel to El Gouna to oversee retail operations.
- Seasonal travel to North Coast locations during the summer, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations & Sales Performance
- Oversee the daily operations of all Anūt Cairo retail stores to ensure efficiency, profitability, and adherence to brand standards.
- Identify high-turnover and slow-moving products, providing reports and insights to the relevant departments for strategic decision-making.
- Manage stock movement between stores to optimize sales and minimize overstock or shortages.
- Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)for all retail stores, including inventory replenishment and customer service protocols.
- Set and track sales targets for each store and work closely with store managers/personnel to ensure they are met.
Store Management & Staff Training
- Supervise and support individual store managers/staff, ensuring they meet operational, sales, and customer service goals.
- Providetraining and developmentfor store staff to maintain high retail standards and improve sales performance.
- Ensure all stores adhere to Anūt Cairo’s brand image, customer experience guidelines, and operational standards.
Retail Expansion & New Store Openings
- Conductmarket researchto identify potential new store locations and assess feasibility.
- Negotiate and close deals with landlords, malls, and other retail partners to secure new retail spaces.
- Oversee the full setup of new stores, includinghiring staff, arranging logistics,coordinating store fit-out, and ensuring operational readiness.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 7+ years of retail experience in Egypt, preferably in high-end or luxury retail.
- Proven experience in multi-store management and optimizing retail performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess product sales and make data-driven stock decisions.
- Experience in retail expansion, lease negotiations, and new store openings.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in training and supervising retail teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Egypt, including El Gouna (twice a month) and North Coast locations in the summer, and other locations depending
- on expansion.
