Job Overview:

We are looking for a Shopify Backend / Integrations Engineer to develop and maintain the technical foundation of our e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting Shopify to key business systems, building custom apps, and automating workflows that enhance scalability, efficiency, and data integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Builds and maintains custom apps or scripts.
• Manages API integrations (ERP, CRM, fulfillment).
• Automates inventory sync, order processing, and reports.
• Implements webhooks and backend data pipelines.
• Ensures security and scalability of the integrations.
• Designs and develops backend logic and automation for Shopify Plus stores.
• Collaborates with frontend and product teams to implement new features.
• Monitors data synchronization and resolves integration issues proactively.
• Ensures system uptime, security compliance, and optimal performance.
• Stays updated on Shopify API changes, web technologies, and automation tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of backend development experience, including 2+ years working with Shopify APIs.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or PHP.
• Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, and logistics system integrations.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
