Role Overview
The Programming Curriculum & Content Developer is responsible for designing the overall structure of programming courses and creating engaging educational content and learning experiences for children and youth.
This role combines curriculum planning, content development, and learning experience design — transforming programming concepts into interactive, age-appropriate lessons that inspire curiosity, creativity, and hands-on exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the main curriculum framework, learning paths, and objectives for programming courses.
- Design engaging learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Structure lessons and define the sequence of topics for each age group.
- Write clear, engaging, and interactive educational content (lessons, activities, and exercises).
- Simplify programming concepts and present them through stories, games, projects, and real-world applications.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and the educational team to ensure high-quality, consistent, and impactful learning experiences.
- Review and edit materials to align with educational standards and curriculum goals.
- Continuously innovate and improve in content design and learner engagement strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of programming concepts suitable for children and youth.
- Excellent writing, communication, and planning skills.
- Ability to design fun, meaningful, and effective learning experiences that support diverse learning styles.
- Creativity, passion for education, and enthusiasm for inspiring young learners.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in curriculum design, educational content development, or instructional design, preferably within EdTech or technology education programs.
- Proven experience in creating programming-related educational materials (e.g., coding lessons, projects, or digital learning modules).
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing learning experiences for children or youth.
- Familiarity with modern educational tools, e-learning platforms, and gamified learning approaches.
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams (educators, designers, developers).
