Job Summary:

LGS Precast, a Texas-based precast manufacturing company with remote engineering and detailing operations in Egypt, is seeking a Precast Engineer to join our growing design and production coordination team.

This Cairo-based position focuses on building complete precast shop drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures—including walls, slabs, beams, columns, stairs, and connections. You will work closely with structural engineers, production teams, and field staff to deliver accurate, buildable, and fabrication-ready detailing packages.

The role is remote but may require occasional commuting in office for training or coordination meetings with Egypt-based team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage 3D precast concrete models in Tekla Structures
• Produce fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and connection details for precast elements
• Coordinate with structural engineering staff to accurately reflect design requirements
• Develop and maintain Tekla component libraries, templates, and modeling standards
• Review and incorporate engineering comments, markups, and revisions
• Ensure drawings comply with production tolerances, handling and lifting requirements, and erection sequence constraints
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and installation teams to ensure constructible detailing
• Export CNC, reports, and BIM data for integration with ERP and production workflows
• Participate in project coordination meetings across international teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in precast detailing or structural detailing
• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures preferred, or detailing experience in Revit
• Understanding of precast components, connection hardware, embeds, and production workflows
• Experience preparing shop drawings, erection drawings, and rebar detailing
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and interoperability (IFC, DWG, DXF, etc.)
• Knowledge of International Building Codes
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills
• Based in Egypt, preferably the Cairo area, available for full-time remote or in-office work
