Job Description
- Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and coordinate cycle counts to verify stock levels.
- Analyze inventory variances and investigate discrepancies, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Prepare and maintain inventory-related journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory management processes.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by providing accurate inventory data.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required inventory schedules and documentation.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and improve efficiency.
- Track and report on inventory turnover, slow-moving items, and obsolete stock.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies regarding inventory valuation.
Job Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● 2-4 years of experience in inventory accounting or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
● Strong understanding of inventory management principles and accounting standards.
● Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
