Duties
The Radio Technician is responsible to ensuring reliable and secure communication systems including the following:

System Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain radio communication systems and related equipment, including radios, antennas, and network components.

Technical Support: Provide technical support for radio communications, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and ensure systems are operational and meet performance standards.

System Upgrades: Perform upgrades and modifications to existing communication systems to enhance functionality and address evolving needs.

Compliance and Security: Ensure that all communication systems comply with embassy security protocols and international regulations, safeguarding sensitive information.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a:

security certificate
medical clearance

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.  
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:
Completion of High School

Qualifications:
Experience:


Three years of experience in the operations and maintenance of radio communication systems, including repeaters and mobile units, is required.


Language:

Good working knowledge in speaking, writing and reading of English is required. (This will be tested).

Fluent in speaking, writing and reading of Arabic is required.


Job Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of the installation, operation, and maintenance of radio communication systems, including fixed stations, repeaters, and mobile units. (This may be tested).


Skills And Abilities:

Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues with communication equipment quickly and efficiently.

A current drivers license is required.
