RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
Assist in developing marketing strategies and execute marketing plan within the hotel/local/regional/national/international markets as appropriate.
Work with Assistant Director, Communications to develop and execute brand initiatives.
Advise on marketing and advertising copy and provide editing for brand consistency.
Develop and build positive relationships with industry partners in key markets.
Develop joint, regional and national promotional opportunities with the competition.
Maintain an up-to-date photo and video library, including a photographic record of all media and special events.
Provide ideas for the hotel collateral, conference, wedding, restaurant, rooms brochures.
Provide ideas for all hotel photography and photo shoots and responsible for its supervision.
Participate in all sales & marketing in-house events.
Provide ideas in collaboration with the Director of Food & Beverage in developing promotions and events.
Provide ideas in collaboration with the Director of Revenue Management in developing promotions.
Tracks competitive activity and best practices.
Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs.
Follow departmental policies and procedures.
Follow all safety policies.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 1 year experience within the marketing field.
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications is required.
University/College degree in a related discipline is a must.
Excellent writing and speaking skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, organized, deadline-oriented, creative and the ability to work as a team.
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
Highly responsible & reliable.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Marketing Executives must be well-versed in both the marketing industry as well as the hotel/lodging field.
A basic comprehension of lodging terminology and the hotels sales strategies, in addition to an understanding of its preferred demographic, will aid in the conception and development of marketing campaigns.
Hotel marketing requires its staff to be knowledgeable in many different areas which can be overwhelming for some. This position may also include long hours and weekends.
