Role Purpose:




This position is based in Majid Al Futtaim Ventures Egypt and will be part of a team responsible for all the transactional accounting operations of the company.






Role Details:




Perform accurate, daily cash and credit card reconciliations between POS reports and bank statements to ensure all money has been deposited into company bank account
Ensure accurate booking of daily revenue
Accurately record VAT on cash and credit collections and revenue
Accurate and tax compliant invoicing to customer and recording collection entries in th

This position is based in Majid Al Futtaim Ventures Egypt and will be accountable and responsible for supervising a team handeling all the transactional accounting operations of the company.




Role Details:




Maintain high levels of customer service in accordance with SLAs and provide consistent, timely and accurate delivery of services to clients through managing daily operational activities
Provide on the job training and guidance to all staff to optimize performance including monitoring workloads to ensure timely completion of activities and equal distribution of work among team members.
Ensure customer billing and reporting activities are carried out accurately and within defined deadlines
Conduct regular review of policies and procedures to identify & overcome process gaps
Ensure system jobs are scheduled in accordance with set timeframes after required checks have been completed
Ensure team maintain all accounting records by filing source documents and other documentation
Continuously monitor team performance against objectives set to ensure that identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved
Coordinate external & internal audit reviews
Support effective periodic assessment of client satisfaction
Invoicing customers and respond to inquiries about bills/invoices
Receive direct customer remittances in collection bank account
Record Keeping and Maintenance
Ensure intercompany transactions including all inter-company and intra-company loan transaction, interest calculation, etc. are recorded timely and are completed in accordance with the monthly close calendar
Responsible for monthly book closing activities as assigned
Perform accruals, maintain supporting statements and workings for all accruals
Ensure timely posting of all Debit/Credit Notes
Prepare and pass accounting entries for the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and BRS
Confirm the various inter-company balances with the counterparts and ensure reconciliation on a regular basis
Run integrity reports and confirm period end book closure to the various teams on a timely basis
Support internal/external audits
Support necessary AP/AR activities




Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:




Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance is a must
Minimum 6-8 years working in Accounting/Finance department
Able to meet short deadlines and deliver quality work under pressure
Good analytical and numerical skills
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills - Fluent English
Supervisory experience is necessary
ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA qualifications are a plus

Ensure good accounting records are maintained. Documents are to be made available as and when requested by auditors and other stakeholders
Execute improvement initiatives
Record invoices in the system as per standard operationg procedures
Ensure relevant LPOs, GRNs, Authorization as per DOA are attached while booking invoices
Process transactions timely and accurately including but not limited to prepayments, accruals, advances, liquidations, transfer of funds, bank charges, and inter-company
Ensure intercompany transactions including all inter-company and intra-company loan transaction, interest calculation, etc. are recorded timely and are completed in accordance with the monthly close calendar
Responsible to balance assigned inter-company accounts in an effective way
Review staff Travel and Expense (T&E) reimbursement claims are in agreement with company policy
Responsible for monthly book closing activities as assigned
Perform accruals, maintain supporting statements and workings for all accruals
Perform other operational duties assigned as and when required




Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:




Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance is a must
Minimum 2-3 years working in Accounting/Finance department
Able to meet short deadlines and deliver quality work under pressure
Good analytical and numerical skills
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills - Fluent English
Proactive and accountable
Very good accounting knowledge
