Job Description
- Perform laboratory tests on: Concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, asphalt, and steel.
- Conduct field tests when required (slump test, compaction, density, cube sampling).
- Prepare, label, and store test samples correctly.
- Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
- Record test results accurately and prepare test reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Follow QA/QC procedures and safety regulations.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Laboratory Technology.
- Training in laboratory safety and quality standards (ISO / ASTM / BS).
- 1–3 years of experience in an engineering or construction materials lab.
- Experience in construction projects or consultancy labs is an advantage.
- Ability to follow testing procedures strictly.
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Teamwork and coordination with engineers and site staff.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift samples and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, lab reporting software).
