Duties & Responsibilities :

  • End-to-end ownership of daily, weekly, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end COB cycles for the Temenos T24 Core Banking system.
  • Ensure timely execution, monitoring, and successful completion of all EOD/EOM batch jobs, including financial postings, interest accruals, charges, reconciliations, and regulatory processes.
  • Proactively monitor COB execution stages, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to avoid delays or failures.
  • Lead resolution of COB-related issues such as batch failures, performance degradation, data inconsistencies, and posting imbalances.
  • Perform and oversee COB health checks, system validations, and business sign-offs before start-of-day (SOD) availability.
  • Coordinate closely with Temenos application support, database, infrastructure, and vendor teams during COB execution and critical incidents.
  • Ensure proper handling of exception management, reruns, restarts, and recovery procedures in line with approved operational runbooks.
  • Maintain and continuously improve COB operational documentation, checklists, and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and internal control requirements related to COB processing.
  • Manage COB performance tuning, scheduling optimization, and capacity planning to support business growth.
  • Lead COB readiness activities for new product launches, system upgrades, patches, and parameter changes.
  • Act as the primary escalation point during COB windows and major production issues impacting core banking availability.
  • Lead and manage the IT operations team responsible for Temenos production support and monitoring.
  • Ensure 24x7 operational coverage, shift planning, and skills development for COB-critical roles.
  • Implement ITIL best practices across Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent fixes for recurring COB and batch-related issues.


Skills and Expertise :

  • Deep, hands-on experience in Temenos T24 COB operations within a live banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of Temenos, batch framework, and operational dependencies.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT operations teams in a regulated financial institution.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.


Governance & Resilience:

  • Ensure COB execution is aligned with defined SLAs and OLAs.
  • Support and lead DR drills, BCP activities, and COB execution in DR environments.
  • Coordinate with internal audit, risk, and compliance teams for operational reviews.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years in IT Operations, within the banking sector who using Temenos core banking.
