This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone. Our client is a fast-growing personal brand at the intersection of outdoor adventure and cooking, built around a strong founder-led presence. The brand focuses on authentic storytelling, personality-driven content, and cultivating a highly targeted U.S. audience, with expansion underway across partnerships, media, and e-commerce.

Location Fully remote | 9 AM - 5 PM EST

Role Overview The Social Media Manager will oversee end-to-end social media operations across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, with a primary focus on growing a high-quality U.S.-based audience. This role blends strategic planning, trend analysis, publishing, community management, and creative collaboration, working closely with the founder to translate ideas and personality into high-performing content that resonates with American male audiences interested in outdoor cooking and adventure.

Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Planning

  • Build monthly and bi-monthly content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Develop concepts for viral, personal, personality-driven, and story-based content.
  • Research trends, sounds, formats, and competitor strategies aligned with U.S. growth.
  • Analyze audience demographics and refine strategy for a predominantly American male audience.

Content Creation Support

  • Collaborate with the founder to outline scripts, hooks, and creative direction for short-form video.
  • Edit content or coordinate editing with internal or external partners as needed.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, personality, and audience expectations.

Publishing & Optimization

  • Publish content consistently across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Optimize content for reach and engagement using data-driven insights.
  • Manage captions, hashtags, scheduling, and platform best practices.

Community Management

  • Engage with followers through comments, DMs, and story interactions.
  • Monitor audience sentiment and escalate meaningful feedback.
  • Support the growth of a U.S.-based community that converts into buyers and advocates.

Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Track and review performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Identify content driving qualified U.S. follower growth versus off-target growth.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.

Collaboration & Brand Alignment

  • Meet weekly or bi-weekly with the founder to align on creative direction and upcoming content.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the brand’s evolving niche: outdoor adventure and food.
  • Work alongside existing part-time support during onboarding to ensure continuity and clean handoff.

Qualifications Experience

  • 2–4+ years managing social media for personal brands, creators, or lifestyle or e-commerce brands.
  • Proven experience growing Instagram and Facebook audiences within U.S. markets.
  • Track record managing or producing viral-leaning content in cooking, outdoor, lifestyle, or entertainment niches.

Skills

  • Strong content strategy, planning, and creative ideation capabilities.
  • Proficiency with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable strategy.
  • Highly organized, consistent, and detail-oriented.
  • Creative, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership of social output.
  • Strong cultural understanding of U.S. social media trends, humor, and audience behavior.
