The Arab Energy Fund (TAEF) is seeking a high-performing Associate to join our Investments & Partnerships division, supporting investments across the Energy Supply Chain and New Energy sectors. This role offers hands-on exposure across the full investment lifecycle, working closely with senior investment professionals on complex, high-impact transactions in the energy and energy-related sectors.
Role Overview
As an Associate, you will support senior team members (CIO / Director / SVP / VP) in originating, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the energy supply chain. The role combines rigorous financial analysis, transaction execution, and portfolio management, offering broad exposure in a fast-paced, collaborative, and institutionally rigorous environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support investment origination, screening, and evaluation in line with the Investment Policy Statement and business strategy
- Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic analysis, including financial modelling and valuation of investment opportunities
- Assist in the execution of comprehensive due diligence, coordinating internal teams and external advisors
- Prepare high-quality investment memorandums, presentations, and IC materials
- Support transaction execution, documentation, and deal closing processes
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and analytical documentation
- Contribute to portfolio monitoring, value creation initiatives, and exit planning
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across business units and support functions
Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, transaction services, corporate finance/lending, or a comparable investment role
- Strong exposure to the energy sector, energy services, infrastructure, or adjacent industries
- Demonstrated capability in financial modelling, investment analysis, and due diligence
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, law, or a related discipline from a reputable university
- A postgraduate degree (Master’s / Honors) is an advantage
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, CPA, CA, CMA are strongly preferred
