Job Title: Fixed Assets Accountant Industry: Oil & Gas Experience Required: 2 Years Location: [ New Cairo ] Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant with 2–3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector to manage fixed asset accounting activities, asset capitalization, depreciation, reconciliations, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate should have strong ERP knowledge and experience handling large asset portfolios within industrial or energy environments. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update the fixed assets register for all company assets. Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and retirements accurately. Calculate and post monthly depreciation entries. Ensure proper capitalization of projects and expenditures in accordance with accounting standards. Perform periodic physical verification of assets and reconcile discrepancies. Prepare fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation for audits. Reconcile fixed asset accounts with the general ledger monthly. Monitor CWIP (Construction Work in Progress) and coordinate capitalization upon project completion. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Ensure compliance with IFRS and company financial policies. Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project teams regarding asset movements and documentation. Assist in preparing financial reports related to fixed assets. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–3 years of experience in fixed assets accounting, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry. Good understanding of IFRS and fixed asset accounting principles. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Good communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills Experience handling large-scale industrial assets and capital projects. Knowledge of asset lifecycle management. Familiarity with audit processes and internal controls.
