Job Description
- Lead engineering teams across multiple disciplines (fire, safety, automation, electrical, mechanical).
- Oversee the design and development of Fire & Gas (F&G) detection, suppression, and automation systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with international codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, API).
- Manage engineering deliverables from concept to detailed design and implementation phases.
- Coordinate with project management, procurement, and construction teams to ensure engineering alignment.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, datasheets, and technical documentation.
- Drive innovation in automation and safety technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Supervise the preparation of technical bids, proposals, and tender packages.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff; provide training and support to ensure team capability.
- Identify and mitigate engineering risks throughout project lifecycle.
- Conduct technical audits and support QA/QC initiatives.
- Represent the engineering team in client meetings, technical reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID workshops.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field)
- 15+ years of engineering experience in the oil & gas sector, with proven leadership in Fire Protection and Automation systems
- In-depth knowledge of fire and safety codes (NFPA, UL, FM) and automation standards (IEC, ISA, API)
- Extensive experience in F&G detection systems, PLC/DCS integration, and control system design
- Proven record of managing complex, multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering successful projects
- Familiarity with engineering software and tools used in fire, safety, and automation design
