Overview of the role

We are seeking a contract UI/UX Designer to join our Automotive division on a 6‑month assignment. This role is key in enhancing digital journeys across brand websites, vehicle configurators, service booking platforms, and more. You will:    · Champion usability testing, recommend frameworks, and implement cost-effective UX validation strategies.    · Introduce and evaluate AI tools (Figma AI, ChatGPT for UX content, Uizard, etc.), and report on their impact.    · Drive design excellence through strong presentation and verbal communication.    · Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and senior stakeholders to align design with business and customer needs.


What you will do

· Execute and oversee usability testing (moderated, remote, etc.), recommend frameworks (e.g. Nielsen–Norman, Lean UX), and deliver high-quality insights while optimizing resources.

· Research, evaluate, and employ AI tools in the UX design process—prototype generation, UX copy, or workflows—then critically assess their effectiveness.

· Create end-to-end digital experiences for automotive audiences: wireframes, prototypes, visual design, and micro‑interactions.

· Develop and articulate compelling presentations to stakeholders, using user data, journey maps, and design rationale for persuasive storytelling.

· Balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints in your design solutions.

· Build strong relationships with senior management, demonstrating your stakeholder management capabilities.

Skills

Required skills to be successful

· 3–6 years of UI/UX design experience, preferably within automotive, e‑commerce, or B2C platforms.

· Proven track record in usability testing frameworks and applying findings to enhance UX.

· Hands-on experience with AI-powered design tools, and ability to assess their practical benefits.

· Exceptional presentation and verbal communication skills—able to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.

· Strong collaboration skills, including managing expectations and delivering consensus-driven solutions.

· Portfolio demonstrating improvements in user experience, engagement, and conversions.

What equips you for the role

· Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.

· Experience working in agile/cross-functional teams with iterative design and rapid feedback loops.

· Familiarity with design systems and visual consistency across multiple platforms.

· Data-driven mindset: experience using analytics or user testing metrics to inform design decisions.
