Job Purpose

The Product Expert is a specialist in vehicles, equipment, and new services. The primary objective is to support the Salesperson and Service Advisor by addressing product-related queries. This role ensures that the Salesperson can focus on core sales tasks while providing expert consultancy to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate customer needs and preferences by integrating insights on customer background, potential pre-configurations, and preferences.
• Provide an initial overview of products that align with the customer’s needs and requirements.
• Create and adapt desired vehicle configurations, ensuring clear visualization, explanation, and validation.
• Conduct product FAQ sessions, answering customer questions, demonstrating assistance systems, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling.
• Act as a knowledge multiplier by sharing expertise with colleagues and internal dealership staff.
• Offer detailed consultations regarding service contracts and extended warranties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Technical certifications or training in automotive systems are a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of vehicle specifications, technologies, and optional equipment.
• Ability to confidently explain advanced features such as safety systems, infotainment, and driver assistance.
• Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within automotive retail, tech retail, or hospitality.
• Strong ability to assess customer needs and provide personalized product consultations.
