We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead the expansion of our global B2B distribution network. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with key accounts, including OTAs, bedbanks, tour operators, travel agencies, and B2B suppliers, etc.
You will drive the integration of API partnerships, develop new markets, and ensure that our distribution channels are scalable, efficient, and aligned with our global growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts to expand HeyTrip’s global B2B distribution channels through API integrations and direct partnerships.
- Identify and engage with key players in the travel ecosystem, including OTAs, bedbanks, tour operators, and travel agencies.
- Negotiate and close strategic partnerships across various regions (Europe, Middle East, America, etc.).
- Represent HeyTrip at global travel industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and build long-term relationships.
- Develop and optimize sales strategies tailored to different markets and channels to drive growth and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Product, Tech, R&D and Operations) to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform business decisions and refine strategies.
- Drive market entry strategies in new regions and lead the development of those markets from the ground up.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, channel management, or partnership development, preferably in the travel tech or B2B travel distribution industry.
- Strong track record in securing API integrations and building partnerships with OTAs, bedbanks, GDSs, or other travel platforms.
- Familiarity with switch technologies (e.g., TravelgateX) and their role in travel distribution
- Existing network of contacts and relationships within the global travel industry is a major plus.
- Deep understanding of travel distribution models, B2B supplier dynamics, and API-based integration processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g., Chinese, Spanish, French) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel for business development and industry events.
