Mercor is hiring experienced legal professionals based in Colombia to support a specialized dataset project focused on legal and financial documents. This role contributes to the advancement of AI technologies by sourcing and organizing publicly available information. It’s ideal for detail-oriented lawyers with a background in litigation or corporate law who are comfortable working independently on remote, short-term projects.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, collect, and organize publicly available Colombian legal and financial documents in accordance with project specifications.
• Ensure all compiled materials meet standards for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
• Follow structured workflows and quality guidelines to ensure consistency and usability.
• Verify all source material is drawn from verifiable, public platforms.
• Communicate asynchronously with the project manager and reliably meet all deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of active legal practice in Colombia.
• Experience in litigation or corporate/transactional legal work.
• Familiarity with Colombian legal and regulatory data sources.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency in documentation.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work on tight timelines.

Role Details

• Part-time, hourly contract with an estimated project duration of 2–3 weeks.
• Weekly commitment of 10–20 hours, depending on availability and project pace.
• Fully remote and asynchronous—work on your own schedule.
• Compensation: $50–$80 per hour, paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Engagement structured through a contractor agreement with Mercor.
