Duties and Accountabilities
The selected individual will be required to support the Cairo Hub in the origination and execution of financial advisory mandates across the MENA region focused on PPP transactions. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist the team in business development including: preparation of pitchbooks and proposals, mandates, road-shows, procurement of consultants, prepare information memorandum etc.Support the team in undertaking project scoping to assess feasibility of potential project(s), prepare financial models and financial analysisAssist in the management of project execution: Prepare notes, presentations, and documentation for internal approval processes and for clientsAssist in coordinating closely with other parts of IFC including environmental and social, legal, other advisory and investment departmentsUnderstand the World Bank program for assigned countries and work with them particularly to assess opportunities for PPPsPerform duties as requested by senior members of the team
Selection Criteria
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Management, or Accounting or a related specialty from a reputed universityAbility and proven track-record to develop complex financial modeling and strong analytical skillsMinimum 2 years of relevant experience gained with a leading financial institution working on PPP transaction advisory, project finance, M&A or privatization advisory, private equityExperience in infrastructure sectors with some knowledge of sector trends, legal and regulatory requirementsAbility to operate in large, culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teamsAbility to work under pressure and deliver high quality work within deadlinesWillingness and ability to travel on short notice and frequently, as requiredExcellent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of Arabic and/or French is desirableExperience in a development institution is considered a plus
