1. Operational Leadership - Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, utilities, and logistics.
- Ensure uninterrupted, safe, and efficient plant operations aligned with production targets.
- Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost control initiatives.
2. Quality & Process Management- Ensure consistent product quality meeting customer and regulatory standards.
- Oversee quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams on process improvements and new product scale-up.
3. Supply Chain & Production Planning- Optimize supply chain operations, including raw material sourcing, inventory control, and distribution.
- Ensure effective production planning to meet customer demand and minimize waste and downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations in collaboration with procurement.
4. Financial & Performance Management- Develop and manage operational budgets, capital expenditures, and cost optimization programs.
- Monitor KPIs related to productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
5. Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSE)- Ensure full compliance with local and international chemical industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO, GMP, etc., as applicable).
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
6. Leadership & People Management- Lead, mentor, and develop plant managers and senior operations staff.
- Build a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, training, and succession development.
7. Strategic Contribution- Translate corporate strategy into operational execution.
- Support expansion, capacity enhancement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Represent operations in executive and board-level discussions.
