Job Overview:

ACE is seeking a skilled BIM Engineer to join the Dr. Mourad M. Bakhoum Sector, specializing in plumbing and firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in BIM workflows to support the development of accurate, coordinated building services models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage BIM models for plumbing and firefighting systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate plumbing and fire protection systems within overall BIM models.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and schematics for plumbing and firefighting installations.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between plumbing, firefighting, and other building systems using BIM tools.
• Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize system layouts for constructability and efficiency.
• Update and maintain BIM models throughout project lifecycle, reflecting design changes and as-built conditions.
• Support project managers and site teams by providing accurate BIM data and documentation.
• Participate in coordination meetings and present BIM models to stakeholders as needed.
• Stay current with advancements in BIM technology and best practices for plumbing and firefighting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in BIM modeling for plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection system design and installation.
• Experience with clash detection and resolution in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, IPC, local regulations).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience working in an office-based environment.
