We are seeking a visionary MEP Director to lead our multi-disciplinary MEP engineering operations. The MEP Director will be responsible for the strategic integration of our Mechanical and Electrical Departments, ensuring that all engineering outputs are coordinated, technically sound, and delivered to the highest industry standards. You will serve as the primary technical liaison between specialized engineering teams and the clients, ensuring end-to-end technical accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Coordination & Integration

* Oversee the synchronization of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing designs to eliminate spatial conflicts and technical gaps.

* Establish and enforce unified office standards for drawings, specifications, and reports.

Technical Leadership & QA/QC

*Conduct cross-disciplinary peer reviews to ensure systems are efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective.

*Guide, direct, and oversee the integration of LEED requirements and strategies across all project phases, ensuring MEP designs meet targeted sustainability goals and certification criteria.

* Act as the final technical authority on complex engineering challenges that span multiple disciplines.

Operational & Team Management

*Manage manpower and workloads for both departments to meet project deadlines and profitability targets.

*Guide and develop the Department Heads, fostering a culture of collaboration rather than competition.

*Monitor the financial performance of MEP projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and scope.

Client & Business Relations

*Represent the firm’s MEP capabilities in high-stakes client meetings and presentations.

Proposal Development:

*Lead the technical scoping and fee estimation for multi-disciplinary MEP bids.

*Coordinate with Architects, and Structural Engineers, to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications:

*B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A Master’s degree in Engineering Management or an MBA is a plus.

* 15+ years of experience in MEP design, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.

*A proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.

*Strong Revit/BIM management and specialized engineering software skills (e.g., HAP, ETAP, Dialux).

*Ability to see the "big picture" of a building’s lifecycle beyond a single discipline.

*Negotiation skills to resolve technical disagreements between departments.

*Understanding of project profitability, risk management, and contract administration.
