CBTR is partnering with a multinational motoring organisation to hire an experienced Senior Java Developer on a six-month contract. This role will support the development and modernisation of large-scale digital platforms used across multiple European markets being responsible for building and evolving high-availability backend services. The focus is on performance, scalability and reliability within a complex, enterprise environment in AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java (17+)
• Build and maintain microservices and API-driven architectures
• Work with cloud-hosted environments and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture and QA teams
• Improve performance, resilience and maintainability of core systems
• Contribute to technical decisions and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Java Expertise (7+ years)
• Expertise with Spring / Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• CI/CD and modern development practices
• Experience within automotive, mobility or large enterprise platforms
• Exposure to event-driven architectures or messaging systems
• French or German language skills (advantageous but not essential)
