Job Description
- Integrated Risk & Compliance: Lead the identification and assessment of legal, regulatory, and operational risks across all business units. Ensure that risk mitigation strategies are aligned with corporate governance codes.
- Regulatory Adherence: Monitor and ensure compliance with the evolving legal landscapes of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the wider Arab markets, specifically regarding construction laws, labor regulations, and environmental mandates.
- Policy & Framework Development: Design and implement a robust Corporate Governance and Risk Management framework. This includes drafting ethical codes, anti-corruption policies, and risk-appetite statements.
- Project Risk Oversight: Collaborate with Project Managers to establish governance controls for large-scale engineering projects, ensuring that contractual risks and joint venture complexities are effectively managed.
- Internal Control Synergy: Partner with Internal Audit to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and lead the remediation of any identified governance or risk gaps.
- Stakeholder & Legal Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for Executive Management and Board Committees on risk exposure. Work closely with the Legal Department to safeguard the firm during corporate transactions and expansions.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law is mandatory. Advanced certifications in Risk Management (e.g., CRM, GRCP) or a Master’s in Law/Business are highly preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in Legal, Governance, or Risk Management roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Industry Expertise: Proven track record in the Construction, Engineering, or Real Estate sectors, with a deep understanding of project-based risk cycles.
- Regional Knowledge: Extensive experience navigating the legal and regulatory frameworks of Egypt and Saudi Arabia (KSA).
- Skills: Exceptional analytical skills to interpret complex legal data into actionable risk insights, and the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
