Job summary

The Market Development Specialist identifies and cultivates new business opportunities to support the company’s growth objectives. This role focuses on expanding market reach, building customer relationships, and collaborating with sales and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies tailored to target segments.

 

Accountability

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new customer segments, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide intelligence to support strategic planning.

Market Development Planning

  • Develop and execute market development plans, targeting specific regions, industries, or customer profiles.
  • Develop promotional materials and messaging in collaboration with marketing.

Sales Support & Lead Generation

  • Work closely with the sales team to generate leads, support key account development, and convert opportunities into sales

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with product development and technical teams to align offerings with market needs

Customer Engagement & Promotion

  • Participate in trade shows, field days, and customer outreach activities to promote products and gather feedback.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track the effectiveness of market development activities and report on progress against growth objectives.

Customer Feedback Integration

  • Collect and relay customer feedback to relevant teams to help refine products and marketing strategies..
