Roles & Responsibilities
Tender & Bidding Stage
- Review tender documents, contracts, and related specifications to identify risks, obligations, and legal clauses that could impact project delivery.
- Liaise with technical and estimating teams to align contractual conditions with bid proposals.
- Prepare and submit commercial clarifications during tender negotiations.
- Ensure all contractual risks are communicated to senior management before bid submission.
2. Contract Review & Negotiation
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and amendments.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, international standards, and company policies.
- Develop strategies to mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
3. Post-Contract Administration
- Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage variation orders, extensions of time, and claims in line with contractual terms.
- Track deliverables, milestones, and payment schedules to safeguard cash flow.
4. Risk & Dispute Management
- Proactively identify potential disputes and develop resolution strategies.
- Prepare formal contractual correspondence, notices, and claims documentation.
- Engage with legal advisors when required for complex matters.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain a complete and up-to-date contract database.
- Prepare regular commercial reports for senior management.
- Ensure lessons learned from each project are documented and shared.
